The Studio

  • There is 1 hour street parking from 8AM-7PM. Evening workshops are timed to allow street parking.

For daytime workshops, Green P Parking is located at Shortt Street, just a 4 minute walk from the studio.

  • I will provide ice water infused with some ✨zesty lemons🍋 but you are more than welcome to bring any of your own drinks and snacks into the studio!

  • Yes! As a girl who struggles with “tummy issues” I assure you there is a clean, private washroom available for use.

  • While I do like to let my furry studio assistants roam freely, if you are nervous around animals or allergic, please feel free to let me know so I can limit their access. I want you to feel safe in the studio, so do not hesitate to ask!

  • Absolutely not. If you can hold a paintbrush and breathe, you're qualified.

  • While I do provide aprons, I can’t promise anything. Wear clothes that don't mind a little character.🤪

  • Great! That means you're making art. We love a happy accident around here.

  • There’s plenty of space to lounge, sip some water, and take a breather. No pressure, ever.🤍

Random

  • It’s that feeling when you lose track of time making art and forget the world for a while. Basically, the best kind of escape.

  • Emotionally, yes. Practically, not even a little. But they’re very cute and good at supervising naps.🐾

  • Pretty much. I’ve been drawing since I could hold a crayon — the art was questionable, but the commitment was there.

  • Oh, I invite it in, give it a snack, and then kindly ask it to f*ck off. Honestly, it still shows up sometimes but I remind myself that creating isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up. I try to make things for the joy of making them, not because I need to prove anything. And when that little voice gets loud, I drown it out with bold colours and bad dance moves.

  • In a lot of ways. My therapist once told me that people with anxiety are often the most creative — our brains are wired to imagine every possible scenario, and I’ve learned to channel that into my art. It helps me come up with ideas, explore emotions, and connect with others.

But it’s not always easy. Sometimes my mental health gets in the way — especially when I’m overthinking how something will be perceived or trying too hard to make things “perfect.” It’s all a balance. Art is both an outlet and a challenge for me, and I try to give myself grace through the process.

  • A mix of travelling, nature, and everyday little moments. Moving around a lot growing up gave me a deep love for different cultures and environments — I’m always picking up bits of inspiration wherever I go. Sometimes it’s a landscape, sometimes it’s a bug on a leaf. Either way, it ends up in my sketchbook eventually.
